Instructor Bio
Kayte Moock grew up in Southern California and has lived in San Diego for over twelve years. After graduating from San Diego State University with a business degree, she obtained a teaching credential and enjoyed teaching children with special needs for several years. Soon after her first child was born, Kayte was introduced to the ISR method and instantly became an advocate.
After witnessing how proficient each of her children were in the water and the life-saving skills they learned at only ten months old, she became a true believer in the ISR method and began spreading the word about the importance of protecting children through water survival training. Kayte felt so strongly about teaching children to be "aquatic problem solvers" that she underwent ISR's extensive training and annual certification process to teach this vital skill. She emphasizes that parental precautions and supervision are the first and most important line of defense. ISR is the last level of safety that teaches a child to save his or her life in case of an aquatic accident.
While Kayte misses working with special-needs children, she is gratified by providing a much needed service in the community through drowning prevention and swim instruction training. "I am passionate about getting as many children ISR trained as possible," states Kayte Moock. "I marvel every day how proficient young children are after these lessons and how quickly they learn this life-saving skill. It is a pleasure to see confidence and a love and respect for water build within each child."
